Spokane Police: Man Stabs Victim In Ear With Screwdriver

SPOKANE, Wash. - Early Wednesday morning Spokane police say they were called out to a fight at 1st and Helena. They got to the scene and found a victim with a stab wound to his ear. The victim told police two men had come up to him and tried to rob him.

One of the suspects then used a screwdriver and stab the victim's ear.  Police found the suspect in a house just a block away.

That man is 27-year-old David Stephens.

Police said that he was drunk and arrested him. He is charged with first-degree assault, malicious mischief, and domestic violence.
