Spokane Police: Man Found Beaten In West Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. - On Wednesday morning around 7:40 a motorist traveling in the area of Government Way and Milton near the Fish Lake Trail head was flagged down by a man on the side of the road who had been badly beaten.
Spokane Police tell KHQ the victim was camping in the area near the trail head and that  one or more people assaulted him.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say the area  in which the man was camping is not designated for camping but that people do camp there on occasion.
