Spokane Carjacking Suspect Arrested In Pullman

Spokane Police Department Press Release:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Saturday night at about 10:30pm Spokane Police responded to a possible carjacking at the Grocery Outlet, 3rd/Maple.  The victim was waiting by his running vehicle when a male approached him and drug him away from his car.  The suspect jumped in the car and a struggle ensued between the victim and suspect.  The suspect began driving away while dragging the victim who was hanging onto the car.  The suspect drove into a light pole, knocking the victim to the ground.  The suspect fled the scene in the victim's car.

The victim was treated and released from a local hospital for minor injuries.

A little after 2am this morning, Pullman Police located the victim's vehicle while investigating a disable vehicle/DUI.  Upon discovering the vehicle was stolen, Pullman Police detained the suspect and contacted the Spokane Police.

Spokane Police contacted Pullman and returned the suspect to the Spokane County Jail.  Forty five year old Damon Williams was booked into jail for 1st Degree Robbery and Theft of a Motor Vehicle
