FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. - Airmen from the 141st Air Refueling Wing returned to Fairchild Air Force Base Monday afternoon following a six-month deployment to Afghanistan.
The 31 team members were stationed throughout the country.
Their primary mission was to build or improve temporary facilities for airmen, soldiers, sailors and marines stationed there.
In addition, Team Fairchild airmen worked directly with local Afghan leaders to help their communities build necessary infrastructure, like roads, schools and water wells.
