SPOKANE, Wash. - Family and friends gathered at Mead High School Thursday night to remember Army Private First Class Jarrod Lallier.
20-year-old Lallier grew up in Spokane and was killed this week while serving in Afghanistan.
He attended Brentwood Elementary and graduated from Mead High School in 2010 before joining the Army.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, stationed out of Fort Bragg, N.C.
His body arrived in the United States Thursday afternoon.
It is still unclear when a service will be held in Spokane.
