Regal Lumber Burglars Arrested

**Official Press Release From Spokane County Sheriff's Office**

SPOKANE, Wash. - On July 23, 2012, at about 12:50 a.m., owners of South Regal Lumber called 911 to report they had received an alarm at their business and were watching two white males, via Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), inside their business.  The owners told 911 the two males were not employees and that one of them was armed with a handgun.

Deputy K. Richey arrived on scene and saw two male subjects matching the description the business owners provided walking away from the business towards a Pontiac Trans Sport van.  Deputy Richey identified himself and ordered both men to stop.  Both suspects fled on foot and were not apprehended.  Deputy Richey located a Co2 pistol one of the suspects threw when he fled from the scene.  Spokane County Sheriff's Office Investigative Task Force (ITF) members were later advised it had been stolen from the business.    The business owners provided a copy of the video surveillance CCTV recording to law enforcement the following day.  The business owners also advised ITF members that a revolver style firearm had been stolen from inside the business.    Members of the ITF were able to identify the suspect armed with the handgun in the video as 25 year old Daniel Spivey, who had an active felony drug warrant at the time of the incident.  A Spokane County Sheriff's Office Forensics Specialist was able to make still photographs of the CCTV video that aided ITF detectives in identifying the second suspect, 33 year old Courtney "Cory" Arbuckle.  Both Arbuckle and Spivey are convicted felons.   On Tuesday, August 14, 2012, ITF detectives located Arbuckle and his girlfriend, who is the registered owner of the Pontiac van, at a residence in Spokane City.  Wednesday evening, August 15, 2012, Deputy Richey advised ITF detectives he had taken Spivey into custody during an unrelated stolen vehicle incident.   Both Spivey and Arbuckle were booked into the Spokane County Jail on the charges of 1st Degree Burglary, Theft of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
