Inside a 14,000 square foot warehouse at the Spokane County Interstate Fairgrounds is a quilters dream.
The needles, fabric and handmade quilts are all for sale.
Over the past 30 years, Mel Sebert accumulated hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of quilting tools & fabric.
About two years ago a fall that left Mel with a traumatic brain injury. She is now in a memory care facility.
Her family decided that the best thing they could do was pass on her life's work.
Through the years, Mel donated a lot of her quilts to various community organizations.
Some of the money raised this weekend will benefit the Our Lady of Fatima Church who is helping out with the sale.
The rest of the funds will go toward medical care costs for Mel and her husband.
If you want to check out the sale, it is happening at the Spokane Interstate Fairgrounds in Building B.
Friday and Saturday the doors open from 9am - 8 m. Sunday the sales goes from 9:00am to noon.
