SPOKANE, Wash. - If you were in downtown Spokane Friday night you probably noticed a lot of police activity around 10:30PM. Troopers from The Washington State Patrol, along with the assistance of Spokane Police and Spokane County Sheriff's Air One were searching for multiple suspects following a chase that started in east Spokane.

The Washington State Patrol says a trooper attempted to stop a 2003 BMW going at a high rate of speed on Hartson. The driver of the car did not stop and a pursuit began. The driver of the BMW hit another vehicle near the area of 5th and Thor and continued driving. The driver of the victim vehicle was not injured but Troopers did terminate the pursuit.  A short time later the vehicle was located in downtown Spokane at Main and Bernard. The occupants of the car fled on foot and police set up a perimeter to locate them. Police say there were four suspects and they were able to capture three, including the two primary suspects. The driver of the BMW was located at his residence. He was later identified as 22-year-old Petr Karapetr.  Karapetr will be charged with Eluding, DUI, Hit and Run, Reckless Endangerment, Driving With License Revoked, and Obstructing.
