SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - A person is in the hospital with what is believed to be a concussion after he was involved in an auto-pedestrian accident on S. Pines Rd. and 16th Ave. in Spokane Valley.Spokane Valley Police say a young man in his teens or early 20's was long-boarding on the sidewalk heading west on 16th when he struck a red Pontiac. Police are unclear if the long-boarder struck the car or the other way around.Police have not released any names.KHQ spoke briefly with the driver. He did not want to be identified by name but said he did not see the young man since he said he came around the sidewalk on his long board very fast.The driver believed the young man had a concussion. Police said the long-boarder was taken to the hospital with blood coming out of his ears.
