NEW INFORMATION: Man Jumps On Running Board In Spokane Valley To Catch Possible Hit And Run Suspect

My Fox Spokane Biz

KHQ.COM - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office tells our Kelsey Watts that a gray truck rear ended a black truck near the Walmart on Sprague around 11am on Tuesday.

The passenger in the black truck perceived it as a potential hit and run, so he got out and jumped on the running boards of the gray truck, holding on for a few blocks before the trucks stopped near the Kmart on Sprague & Havana.

The tricky thing is, the incident began in the county and ended in the city, so SCSO took the lead from Spokane Police, so there was a little bit of confusion in regards to re-interviewing witnesses.

As of 11:30 am, the man who had jumped on the running boards was loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher, but was awake and talking. No citations or arrests have been made at this time.
