SPOKANE, Wash. - A motorcyclist is in custody after running a stop sign in northeast Spokane and getting hit by an oncoming car.
It happened just after midnight on Monday in the 31-hundred block of N. Napa St. where the road intersects with North Foothills Drive.
Police say the motorcyclist drove right through a stop sign at the intersection where he was hit by a car with so much force that his shoe fell off.
The man on the motorcycle then took off on foot and was eventually tracked down by police.
Police say the motorcycle driver has warrants out for his arrest on various charges He was taken to the hospital as a precaution but suffered only minor injuries. He is now in the Spokane County Jail.
