SPOKANE, Wash. - On Thursday, Mid-City Concerns Meals on Wheels served a free Thanksgiving dinner to anyone in need at their downtown Spokane building. They also delivered about 150 Thanksgiving dinners to seniors.
Volunteers began cooking and preparing meals at 5:00 a.m. Drivers picked up the prepared boxed meals at 11:30 a.m. and drove all around town giving meals to those in need. For many of seniors receiving meals, these volunteers will be the only interaction some of the might have on this holiday.
