Man Charged With Raping University Of Idaho Student

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) - Bail was set at $125,000 for a Twin Falls man charged with raping an acquaintance behind a fraternity house at the University of Idaho.    Moscow police arrested 21-year-old Jesse Vierstra early Sunday. The former University of Idaho student made an initial court appearance Tuesday and told Magistrate John Judge that he was innocent. Judge issued a no-contact order between Vierstra and the woman.    Police say Vierstra and the woman were former co-workers who had attended a party at the Sigma Chi fraternity house on Saturday night and left the party together to go for a walk.    The woman told police they started kissing outside and once they were alone, Vierstra forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.    Vierstra's preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 18.(Copyright 2012 The Associated Press.
