Local Smash And Grab Robbery Caught On Tape

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.  Pam and Chad Orebaugh are business owners of a store called "Gift Card Shark" that buys, trades and sells gift cards.  Their store was burglarized with a smash and grab type theft.

The store has a good security system and was able to get video of the man and woman that smashed through window.

Chad says, "We definitely have a good picture of their white extended cab pickup. They broke in, in the middle of last month but as of late, people have been coming in with some of the gift cards that these people stole."

When the cards were stolen they lost of all that money, but because no arrests were made they were forced to buy those stolen cards back.   "It's better for us to take them back, so we did recover some that way."

It is believed that the people involved in the theft staked out the business the morning of the incident and later returned a couple more times, breaking in on the third return.  They were able to get away with more than $1,000 dollars worth of  gift cards.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.  If you have any tips at all please call crime check at 456-2233.
