OMAHA, Neb. - The US Olympic swimming team trials are happening right now in Omaha, Nebraska.
One of the Olympic hopefuls is 17-year-old Spokane native Addisynn Bursch.
We learned late Wednesday that Addisynn did not qualify for the team.
Addisynn was hoping to grab one of two spots in the 200-meter individual medley.
Unfortunately, she placed 62nd in the first round, and didn't advance to the semi-finals.
She tells KHQ that although she's not going to London, her training for the next Olympic trials started as soon as her last race ended.
Another Spokane native, Ben Lovell, is going to be competing against the likes of Michael Phelps in the 100-meter fly on Saturday.
