SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Vera Water and Power says they have completely restored power to its customers in Spokane Valley after a kite flew into a feed Saturday afternoon.
Representatives with Vera Water And Power say at the peak of the outage, 1800 customers were without power.
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - With temperatures sky rocketing, it's not exactly a good day to lose power, but that exactly what happened in Spokane Valley today, and all because of a kite. Vera Water and Power tell KHQ about 1100 people are without power right now after a kite flew into one of their feeders this afternoon, causing not one but two feeders to go down.
At the peak of the power outage, about 1800 people were without power, but after crews got one feeder back online, 700 customers got their power and their A/C back.
Crews are checking the 2nd feeder and working to restore power. There is no estimated time of restoration.
