A strong storm system moving in overnight will bring widespread rain, snow (NE Mountains, Cascades and Northern Panhandle) and wind (Wednesday afternoon gust could reach 40-45mph) to the Pacific NW for the first day of Spring! Low elevations in the northern valleys could produce minor accumulations late tonight, where as the high mountains around the Cascade crest, Metaline Falls and Sandpoint could see a foot or more of wet heavy snow by Thursday morning. *Winter Storm Warning* For NE mountains from 11pm tonight until 5pm Wednesday, above 4000ft. 6-10" is possible in the mountains and up to an inch at the valley floors. *Winter Weather Advisory* East Slopes of the Cascades, Okanogan valley and the Waterville Plateau from 8pm tonight until 11am Wednesday, above 2000ft. 3-8" could be seen in the valleys and up to 15" in the mountains.
