Intoxicated Man Arrested At Shoshone County Shooting Range

SHOSHONE COUNTY, Idaho - Monday night the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office responded to the Shoshone County Public Shooting Range for a report of an agitated man who refused to leave the range after the business had closed.

Officers from Kellogg were the first to arrived on scene, followed by deputies from Shoshone County, and Idaho State Police.

Once units were on scene they attempted to contact the man using a PA system due to safety concerns. During the attempted contact, approximately three gunshots were fired from the man's 9mm handgun in the direction of the officers. However, officers did not return fire, no injuries were sustained, and no property was found to be damaged as a result of the gunfire. The suspect, later identified as Michael Krahn, 52, of Kellogg was taken into custody shortly after without further incident.

Krahn has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
