CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) - A kindergarten teacher in the southwestern Idaho city of Caldwell is being investigated after a parent says she locked a 5-year-old boy in a dark room and forgot him there. James Cagle told Boise television station KTVB (http://bit.ly/QSkPMB) that he and his wife panicked Wednesday when their son Tanner didn't come home from school. They searched Washington Elementary and found Tanner locked inside a small room used for tutoring. The lights were off and the boy was crying. Cagle said he'd been locked there for an hour and a half, apparently because the teacher wanted to discipline him and then forgot. Superintendent Tim Rosandick says using the room for discipline is not a preferred practice, and that appropriate actions have been taken, but he can't discuss personnel issues.
