Idaho Man Allegedly Kidnaps 6-Year-Old Boy And Two Men At Knifepoint

Clearwater County Sheriff's Department Press Release:

CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho - Clearwater County Sheriff's Deputies and Orofino
Police Officers responded to the area of Clover Drive located near mile post
6.7 on the Cavendish Highway in Clearwater County, Idaho where a male subject (later identified as Roger Dale Ehler 56 of Lewiston,
Idaho) armed with a knife kidnapped a six year old boy and two adult
males. 

Ehler held the boy at knife point,
forcing the boy and the two adult males into a minivan.  Ehle demanded a ride to Orofino.  The minivan met law enforcement officers on
Clover Drive and stopped.  After a brief
stand off with law enforcement Ehler was taken into custody and transported to
The Clearwater County Jail. 

No one was
seriously injured during this incident. 
Elher was arrested on three counts of kidnapping.  Other charges are pending.
