SPOKANE, Wash. - Patrick Gibson was found guilty of first-degree murder Wednesday afternoon.
Gibson, 60, was arrested last year in connection with the 1992 killing of Brian Cole.
Investigators tied him to the murder after finding his DNA on a fake beard worn by the killer.
Gibson's murder trial began in May, but was delayed when prosecutors learned that evidence from the murder scene was used during a re-enactment of the crime on "America's Most Wanted."
It was later determined that the evidence was not tainted.
Gibson will be sentenced later this year.
