Grant County Deputies Searching For Violent Assault Suspect

Grant County Sheriff's Department Press Release:

ROYAL CITY, Wash. - Early Monday morning, Grant County Sheriff's Deputies were called to 14264 Crook Loop Southwest near Royal City for a report of a domestic assault. When Deputies arrived they found the 17-year-old girl with severe head wounds. The victim was transported to Samaritan Hospital for treatment. The victim and other witnesses were able to identify 20-year-old Wilmer S. Guerrero (photo attached) as the person responsible for the assault. Guerrero fled in a vehicle prior to deputy's arrival. That vehicle has since been recovered, but Guerrero remains at large. Deputies and Detectives spent numerous hours on scene investigating this crime. There is probable cause to arrest Guerrero on a charge of First Degree Assault. Citizens should not try to apprehend Guerrero and instead call police. Anyone with information about Guerrero's whereabouts should call 9-1-1, or send information to crimetips@co.grant.wa.us. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
