Fatality Crash Near Hayden

HAYDEN, Idaho - On December 11, 2012 at about 7 PM, deputies responded to a reported missing person call in the 23000 block of E Hayden Lake Rd.

According to the reporting party, her fiancée, identified as Thomas McLennon, 61 years old of Hayden, hadn't come home from work. It is unknown how long he had been missing, but possibly since Monday night.

Deputies retraced his usual route from his work to his house and found his Jeep Commander about ½ mile from E. Hayden Lake Rd on his long, winding driveway. McLennon was found inside the Jeep, deceased. The Jeep had apparently left the driveway and crashed into a hillside and some trees prior to catching fire.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Traffic Investigation Team is currently investigating the incident. More details will be released once they are available.
