Extrication Crash On Spokane's South Hill

SPOKANE, Wash. - A busy intersection of Spokane's South Hill is now open after a serious car accident.

It happened at 17th Ave. and Perry St. just after 2:30pm Wednesday afternoon. Police tell KHQ that a woman driving an SUV drove through a stop sign, T-Boning a white car.

The driver of that car, an 85-year-old woman, had to be extricated. The driver of the SUV was wearing a seatbelt. It is unclear if the other drive was wearing a seatbelt or not. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, but police say prescription drugs might be.

The accident is still under investigation.
