Eight Hour Stand Off Ends With No Injuries

MERRY CANYON, Wash- Merry Canon resident Alan Chamberlin is in jail Friday night, facing two counts of Felony Harassment after treating to kill officers during an eight hour standoff.

Merry Canyon is about 22 miles north of Leavenworth in Chelan County. That's where deputies were called to after they got a report that Alan Chamberlin was suicidal and needed help.

Deputies responded and when they arrived, Chamberlin came out with a rifle and said he would kill the officers.

Chamberlin than proceeded to barricade himself inside his home for eight hours until he left the residence.

Chamberlin did not do so easily, officers had to tease him and than proceed to take him into custody.

No one was hurt in this situation.
