Car Slams Into Moving Truck

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Emergency crews responded to a serious crash at Argonne & Upriver on Thursday. Authorities tell us that a moving truck and a car were heading on N. Argonne when the car slammed into the back of the truck.

1 person from the car and 2 people from the truck were transported to the hospital with critical but non-life threatening injuries.

Argonne was reduced to one lane southbound as authorities cleaned up the scene. Crews had to extricate one person from the vehicle.

The crash is under investigation.

UPDATE: The female driver has been identified as Jennifer A. Schmidt of Spokane Valley. The male driver has been identified as Sean D. Moss. Both Schmidt and Moss were life-flighted by Medstar to Sacred Heart. The State Patrol says both vehicles were totaled and both drivers were wearing seatbelts
