BONNER COUNTY, Idaho - The body of a rafter who went missing on Wednesday has been recovered, according to The Bonner County Bee.
The 43-year-old Spokane man, who has not been identified, was found Friday by the Priest Lake Search and Rescue team.
The man was rafting with two other people when they went through some rapids. The other two people came out the other side of those rapids, however the victim did not. His friends only saw an empty raft and debris float by.
Two days later, after using a dam to lower water levels, crews were able to find the man in about eleven feet of water.
Officials tell the Bonner County Bee that the man had been drinking all day, but they couldn't say if that played a factor in the incident. The Spokane County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy sometime this week.
