SPOKANE, Wash. - With the high temperatures, many air conditioners are breaking down.
Air Control Heating and Electric has seen their business triple in the past three days.
There are some things that you can do to help your air conditioner stay running. Rebecca Chateaubriand, the General Manager at the Air Control Heating and Electric advised people to not set the temperature in their homes lower than 70 degrees in this heat.
In fact, she said that around the Inland Northwest, the air conditioners are only going to be able to keep up with 80 degree heat.
According to Chateaubriand, your air conditioner is only going to make your house 10 degrees cooler than it is outside.
