Authorities: Coeur d' Alene Missing Woman Found ALIVE!

UPDATE: The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office reports that Nancy J. Schilling, missing since Wednesday night, was found by a local hunter at about 7:30 Friday morning near the area where her car was recovered.

She was tired, hungry and dehydrated, but otherwise in good physical health. Mrs. Schilling was transported to Kootenai Medical Center for observation and treatment. The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office expresses its gratitude to all the KCSO Volunteer Search and Rescue members, the Mica/Kidd Island Fire Department, the Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane County Sheriff's Office and the numerous citizens and residents that offered their support and assistance over the past three days.

KHQ.COM - The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) is currently searching for a missing/endangered adult female in the area of Valhalla Rd. and Kidd Island Rd., south of Coeur d'Alene.

On October 10th at about 8:45 PM, KCSO received a request from the Coeur d'Alene Police Department to assist with the search of Nancy J. Schilling, 60-years-old from Coeur d'Alene.

Through cell phone contacts, she was believed to be in the area of Valhalla Rd. and Kidd Island Rd. At about 9:30 PM Schilling's car was located off Valhalla Rd. and near Kidd Island Rd.

An intensive ground search was started from that area and continued until about 2:30 AM with no success. Thursday morning at 7:00 AM the search resumed for Schilling utilizing the KCSO's Volunteer Search and Rescue Unit.

Additionally air search resources were requested from Fairchild Air ForceBase and will be assisting with the search. Schilling is described as a white female, 60 years old, 5'05", 130 lbs with blonde hair and brown eyes.

It is unknown what her clothing description is at this time.
