Zag Fans Are Excited For The Season

SPOKANE, Wash. - A big win for the Gonzaga Bulldogs Friday night as they beat Southern Utah University 103-65, and the fans couldn't be happier.

Fans started lining up hours ahead of tip off to see their Zags open the season against the Big Sky newcomers.

The Thunderbirds experienced The Kennel first hand, one of the best home court advantages in the country.

There is a lot of anticipation and excitement surrounding this years edition of the Bulldogs.

With a top ten back court of Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell Junior along with returning starters Elias Harris and Sam Dower, the team is one of the deepest, most talented squads coach Mark Few has ever had.

Once again picked to be atop the West Coast Conference, the Zags hope to improve on their 27 win season a year ago that ended with a third round loss to eventual national runner up Ohio State.

Gonzaga's first big test of the season will be Monday night against a West Virginia team they beat handily in last year's NCAA tournament.

This will be the first time Bob Huggins and his mountaineers have been to The Kennel. Game time is set for 9:00.
