A woman is in jail after she told police she had dynamite in her house Wednesday night. To be safe, police shut down two blocks surrounding the area and then searched the home. However, when they went inside, they didn't find any dynamite, but they did find a large firework. However police say they take every threat seriously and the woman was taken to jail for threatening to bomb or injure. No one was hurt. Previous Coverage: Police are investigating explosives found in a home in East Spokane on Wednesday evening. Around 7 PM, Spokane Police received information that there could be explosives at an address near the 1800 block of E. 1st. A person inside the home confirmed there was at least one stick and maybe more. Everyone in the home was evacuated and roads have been closed for two blocks in each direction. Families in nearby homes were been notified and asked to stay inside. There are federal restrictions on dynamite and its illegal to possess in the city of Spokane. However, it is unknown how the explosives got into the home.
