Woman Jumps From Car After Argument About Casino Winnings

SPOKANE, Wash. - A 40-year-old woman was taken to Sacred Heart Saturday morning after jumping from a moving car south of Spokane Valley.   It happened near the intersection of Dishman Mica and Madison when police say the woman was arguing with the driver of the car over some recent winnings at a local casino. The argument eventually ended when the woman decided to jump out of the car, which Sheriff's Deputies estimated was going about 30 mph. An off-duty Spokane Valley Firefighter was able to assist the woman until paramedics arrived. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of head trauma, but we are told she is expected to be ok. The woman has not been identified, but Deputies say she does have a felony warrant, and a controlled substance was found at the scene. The woman will be arrested on her warrant, and possibly new drug charges as soon as she is released from the hospital.   The driver was located a short time later and was released at the scene.
