Weather Conditions Warrant Change To Browne's Addition Plowing

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CITY OF SPOKANE: With warm and windy weather speeding snow melting, the City is changing its approach to plowing in Browne's Addition.

Crews will plow the center of the streets, where possible, to remove as much slush, snow and ice this afternoon and evening, before it freezes. Crews anticipate only small berms as a result of this plowing because so much snow already has melted.

"The snow is melting and turning into slush, with bare pavement in some locations," says Mark Serbousek, Street Director. "We want to get in there and remove what we can from the center of the street before it turns into ice."

Citizens won't be expected to move cars for this work. Not all streets may be plowed because the streets are narrow.
