OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - The Washington state Department of Natural Resources says a statewide burn ban on lands it protects is expiring since rain and lower temperatures have eased wildfire danger. State Lands Commissioner Peter Goldmark thanked residents for their help "during a difficult and prolonged fire season." The department said the outdoor burning ban was over as of midnight Monday.(Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
