Spokane Police Department Press Release:
Early Saturday morning patrol officers responded to a stabbing near the 400 block of S. Fiske shortly after 3 AM. Two men began arguing, then a fight broke out between them in which the suspect, Jesse D. Bell, (2/28/1991) pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim several times.
Arriving officers found the victim still at the scene; the 29-year old man had been stabbed multiple times in his torso, back, and arms. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Jesse fled the scene before officers arrived.
Major Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and following an intensive investigation, Jesse was arrested later the same day when he agreed to turn himself in to police. He was booked into jail on a charge of 1st Degree Assault. The victim survived and is currently hospitalized in stable condition.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a stabbing that happened early Saturday morning in east Spokane.
We are working on getting more information but as of right now we know that it happened in the area of 4th and Ray at about 3:15AM.
We are told the victim is a male and he was transported to the hospital with a stab wound in the chest. At this time his condition is unknown.
At last check, the suspect is still on the loose and was last seen by witnesses traveling eastbound on 3rd Avenue wearing dark clothes.
Police say the victim and suspect do know each other, and the stabbing wasn't a random incident.
