SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Police Department's Patrol Anti Crime Team arrested Crystal Abad Saturday night. She was wanted for 1st Armed Robbery in the County, for allegedly shooting her ex boyfriend.
UPDATED FROM PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE VALLEY POLICE DEPT: Spokane County Sheriff's detectives are investigating a robbery and shooting that occurred Sunday November 11th in the Spokane Valley.
This incident was reported by the male victim who called Spokane County 911 around 11:40 a.m. Sunday morning. He stated he had been shot and was on his way to the hospital for medical treatment.
Spokane Valley Sheriff's deputies contacted the victim at the hospital and a short time later, they located the scene where the shooting took place in the area of South Bates Drive and Bates Court. The incident appears to have started when the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Crystal L. Abad called the victim and asked to borrow some money.
The victim agreed to meet Abad in the area of 10th and Pines Avenue. Abad arrived at the location as a passenger of what is believed to be an early 2000s Gold Jeep Cherokee or Laredo with an unidentified male driver.
The victim reportedly had his money in his hands when Abad reached out and grabbed all of it. She jumped back into the Jeep and the male drove away. The victim began following the Jeep as he called Abad. She agreed to stop and the Jeep pulled over in the area of South Bates Drive and Bates Court, just east of Bowdish Rd.
Abad and the victim exited the vehicles and Abad pulled out what is believed to be a small caliber handgun and shot the victim. She returned to the Jeep and the unidentified male drove away again.
The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury from one gunshot to the area of his shoulder. Abad and the victim are known to each other and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Abad is described as a white female with a dark tan, 5'04", 130lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen as a passenger in what is believed to be an early 2000s Gold Jeep Cherokee or Laredo with a possible broken rear taillight lens covered with red tape.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Spokane Valley Police Detectives are investigating a shooting that happened in the Dishman-Mica area Sunday morning. Details are still coming in but police say a 24-year-old woman robbed a man on Sunday. The man followed the suspect after the robbery to the area of 37th and Bates off of Bowdish. It was there that the man was shot in the shoulder by the woman. She fled the scene in a gold Jeep Cherokee and is still at large. She has been identified as 24-year-old Chrystal L. Abad. She is described as white and about 5'4". The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. No word on his condition, but we are told his injuries are not life threatening. KHQ crews are continuing to gather information and we will update this story as soon as we get any new information.
