UPDATED PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: On Wednesday night Spokane Police Detectives pinpointed a downtown address where wanted murder suspect Louis L. Hanson was believed to be hiding out.
When detectives attempted to search the apartment looking for Hanson, a female resident, Amanda M. Tudesque (08/14/1990) physically interfered, trying to prevent the arrest.
Hanson was located in the apartment and arrested for 2nd Degree Murder. Tudesque was also arrested for rendering Criminal Assistance in the 1st Degree. Hanson was wanted for the allegedly shooting and killing Aaron Cummings on December 30th in North Central Spokane.
On Wednesday, January 2nd at 10:15pm Spokane Police Detectives followed up on a lead indicating wanted murder suspect Louis Hanson had been seen at an address in the 1900 block of W. 2nd Ave.
Detectives spoke with residents of the building which was composed of several apartments and came in contact with resident Amanda Tudesque. When asked if she recognized a photograph of the suspect, Louis Hanson, she said that she did recognize him but that he was not present at the apartment.
After talking with several other residents, detectives determined that Hanson was presently in the building, in the apartment of Tudesque.
Tudesque told officers that there was no one in her apartment but her children and she began aggressively trying to prevent officers from entering her apartment, at one point shoving an officer as she was explaining the danger Hanson could pose to Tudesque' s children.
A short time later Hanson came out of the apartment but refused to comply with detective commands. He was restrained and arrested on his outstanding warrant for 2nd Degree Murder.
Amanda Tudesque was charged with 1st Degree Rendering of Criminal Assistance for harboring and concealing Louis Hanson and attempting to obstruct his arrest by force and deception.
UPDATE: On Wednesday Spokane police detectives arrested Louis Hanson for 2nd degree Murder. He was found hiding in an apartment at 1923 W 2nd Ave. A female, Amanda Tudesque, 22, was arrested for rendering criminal assistance. Hanson is expected to make his first court appearance on Thursday.

SPOKANE, Wash. - After misleading information from witnesses, Spokane Police have identified a new suspect in the December 30th shooting of Aaron Cummings. Cummings died of a gunshot wound inside a friend's home in north central Spokane. Initially witnesses lied to detectives about the identity of the suspect, indicating Salvador Rivera-Romero as the shooter. Detectives have since determined Louis L. Hanson, 9/25/83, is the suspect and is wanted for 2nd Degree Murder. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
On December 30, 2012, just before 6pm, Spokane Police officers responded to a shooting at 1607 N. Wall in north central Spokane. Officers found Aaron Cummings inside the home, dead from a gunshot wound. Witnesses deliberately lied to officers and detectives, intentionally misleading the investigation. Officers disseminated information that Salvador Rivera-Romero was wanted in connection with the shooting.
Major Crimes Detectives continued their investigation, despite the lack of witness cooperation, and have since determined Louis L. Hanson shot and killed Cummings inside the home on N. Wall. Hanson has an extensive criminal history and local gang ties. Officers did not locate Rivera-Romero.
