QUINCY, Wash. - The man accused of being involved in the September 2011 murder of Ramiro Munoz Jr. in Grant County was extradited back to Washington State on Sunday.
Back on July 3, 2012, US Marshals located Gerardo Miguel Valenzuela Navarro in Kinston, North Carolina. They arrested him on a warrant for the murder of Munoz Jr. Valenzuela initially fought extradition back to Washington, but after the issuance of a Washington State Governor's Warrant, he was sent back to Washington.
He was booked into the Grant County Jail on Sunday afternoon and now is awaiting trial.

The Grant County Superior Court today issued an arrest warrant for Gerardo Miguel Valenzuela Navarro, age 19 (DOB 11/13/1992). The warrant is for suspicion of second-degree murder for the Sept. 23, 2011 shooting death of Ramiro "Junior" Munoz, Jr. of Quincy. Quincy Police Chief Richard Ackerman is pleased with the warrant being issued and warned, "Anyone who helps Valenzuela avoid being captured will be charged to the fullest extent of the law."
