SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Police Department's Explosive Disposal Unit was called to the 3900 block of E. Nebraska in Hillyard Monday afternoon to check on a suspicious package that appeared over the weekend.
The package was discovered at about 1:00pm. Police arrived and sent in the robot to check it out, and deemed the threat credible, saying the object was a large package wrapped in a blue tarp with hoses and wires coming out of it. After a bomb technician went in to check on it, it was discovered the package was nothing more than random junk that someone had dropped off.
The scene is now clear.
