ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - Investigators are trying to find an Arizona teenager whose car was abandoned in southwest Oregon. Douglas County sheriff's spokesman Dwes Hutson says the sport utility vehicle driven by 18-year-old Johnathan Croom was found Wednesday in the small town of Riddle, not far from Interstate 5. When contacted by authorities, Croom's father said his son was supposed to be on his way to attend college in Lynnwood, Wash. He had not heard from his son since Saturday. Hutson does not know Croom's hometown in Arizona. He says Croom is 6-foot-1 and 140 pounds, and might be carrying a multi-colored backpack. Hutson says Croom's SUV was not vandalized and officers have searched the general area.(Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
