UPDATE: Man Killed After Being Hit By Car While Helping With Slide-Off

KHQ.COM - The man killed after being hit by a vehicle while assisting another vehicle that had left the roadway has been identified as 56-year-old Scott Moore of Priest River.

The Washington State Patrol says Moore got out of his car Friday night on I-90 near the Garden Springs exit to assist with a vehicle that had gone off the road. After getting out of his car, Moore was struck by a car that left the roadway driven by 24-year-old Robert Dyer of Coeur d'Alene. Moore died at the scene.

Dyer was arrested for Hit and Run and Vehicular Homicide.

UPDATE FROM WSP: This is collision is now a fatality collision. The hit and run vehicle struck a pedestrian that was assisting an unrelated collision vehicle. The pedestrian is deceased at the scene. The causing driver is in custody for hit and run and vehicular homicide.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Emergency crews are on scene of a rollover accident near Interstate 90 and Garden Springs. The crash happened just after 6:00pm Friday evening.

Washington State Police tell us one person has been ejected from the vehicle and that first responders are performing CPR. 

There are multiple ambulances on scene transporting victims.
