UPDATE: Hydrochloric Acid Spill CLOSES Lewis and Clark High School

UPDATE: Tonight's volleyball games have been canceled as well. Students were let back inside to get their stuff around 2:30pm.

UPDATE: Lewis and Clark High School is now closed due to hydrochloric acid spill that happened on Tuesday afternoon.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE:

SPOKANE Wash. - A gallon of hydrochloric acid was spilled at Lewis and Clark High School on Tuesday afternoon.

Students were evacuated while fire crews cleaned up the spill which took some time because the spill was down a flight of stairs.

No one was injured and fire crews are confident they will be able to clean it up and have students back in class before the end of the day.
