UPDATE: Homicide Investigations Continue

UPDATE: Homicide suspect, Tony T. Callihan 8/30/74, is believed to be driving the car you see pictured to the right (owned by the homicide victim).  He also has a Dept. of Corrections Escape warrant.  Callihan should be considered armed and dangerous. The license plate number is 474WRH. The vehicle is a Dodge Stratus.

Spokane Police Department Press Release: Spokane Police, both officer and detectives are utilizing whatever resources necessary to solve two homicides, that occurred yesterday. Officers responded to Bridge and Cannon St, where a man was found dead in the street.

Detectives continue to piece together the victim's final days. That same afternoon, Spokane Police began investigating a second, unrelated homicide, that left a woman in her 40's dead in a home in the 2300 block of West Broadway. Detectives are continuing their search for the suspects in each homicide.

Spokane Police released the Bridge and Cannon homicide victim's photo yesterday, in an effort to retrace his final hours. David "Brandon" DePonte, 28, was found dead in an alley. With very little information, officers and detectives have spent the past 24 hours following tips and interviewing witnesses. SPD asks that if anyone knows DePonte, had seen him alive in the past few days, or knows anything about his murder, they are asked to call Crimestoppers.Meanwhile, SPD Detectives have released the 2300 W. Broadway murder suspect's photo, hoping to locate him as soon as possible. Tony T. Callihan, 38, is suspect of killing a woman he had been dating and leaving the scene in her vehicle. 

Callihan has ties to North Spokane County and citizens have been put on alert for the vehicle, a 2000 Dodge Stratus, 4 door, gray or light green, Washington license 474WRH. If anyone has seen either Callihan or the Stratus, police need to know immediately. SPD cautions anyone who may come in contact with Callihan, as he is very dangerous.
