UPDATE: Heavy Police Activity At Sacred Heart

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police officers and members of SWAT spent hours going through the Doctors Building and parking garage on the Sacred Heart campus after reports of an uncooperative person possibly with a gun.

Police tell us the initial sighting was reported around 6:15pm, but that the call did not come in for some time after.

Witnesses who saw the suspicious person describe him as a white male with dark hair and dark beard with some sort of firearm tucked under one of his arms.

Even though reports were unsubstantiated, police say there was enough information that they wanted to make sure no one was in harms way.

After a sweep of the building, officers were unable to find anyone or anything related to these reports.

Because of the size of the building and garage and all the different areas where a person could hide, Spokane Police will place a few officers through the night as a precaution.

They will also be looking at surveillance video as they continue to identify this person.
