Spokane County Sheriff's Department Press Release:
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - On Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 5:00 p.m., Spokane Valley Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Crossland Economy Studio located at 12803 East Sprague to a fight call. Deputies were told by employees at the motel an adult male had possibly been stabbed in one of the rooms and walked off the property westbound on Sprague.
Deputies located the victim at a fast food restaurant west of the motel. The victim had a stab wound from the altercation and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Initially it was believed the victim may have suffered life threatening injuries. Detectives responded to the hospital and were advised by medical personnel the victims injuries were not life threatening.
Detectives have secured the room where the incident took place and are in the process of writing a search warrant. At this point, it is unknown who the suspect or suspects are. Detectives will be on scene throughout the evening and at this time there is no further information available.
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a stabbing that happened Saturday evening at the Crossland hotel on E. Sprague in between Pines and McDonald.
Details are still coming in, but detectives say the two people were at the hotel when one of them was stabbed. The victim was able to get a few blocks away from the scene, and police were able to make contact. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. At this time, the extent of injuries in unknown.
The suspect also fled the scene and police are searching for that person at this time.
