MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Authorities have found a 3-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted by his father and thought to be in danger. An Amber Alert had been issued for the child abducted in Elk Valley, British Columbia. The alert was canceled Friday morning after officials said the child was safe in Whitefish and his father, Robert Barnett, was in custody. Barnett allegedly kidnapped his son Alvin Thursday during a supervised visit and crossed into Montana. Flathead County Undersheriff Dave Leib tells the Daily Inter Lake (http://bit.ly/SRNRaw ) Barnett asked a man in Whitefish Thursday for money and use of a phone. The man let Barnett sleep in his car outside his home and realized Friday morning Barnett was the subject of the Amber Alert. The man called 911 and Barnett was arrested without incident.(Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)
