UPDATE: Just before 3 Wednesday afternoon emergency crews from the city of Spokane and Fire District 9 responded to reports of a house fire near Normandie and Wedgewood. When firefighters arrived they found a home heavily engulfed in flames and smoke. Taking an offensive approach firefighters worked for nearly 2 hours to put the fire out that burned completely through the roof of the 2 story home.
