UPDATE: 13 Cars Involved In Crash On US 95 In Coeur d'Alene

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -  Emergency responders were called to a wreck involving 13 vehicles on US 95 in Coeur d'Alene Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened at around 2:40 pm in the northbound lanes of US 95 in between Kathleen and Bosanko. The cause is still under investigation but Idaho State Police say a Penske moving truck was one of the main causes of the crash, so police are checking the driver to make sure they were not impaired.

While looking at the crash in the northbound lane, two cars collided in the southbound lanes of US 95. Injuries in that crash are unknown.

A total of four people from the 13 car crash were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, but Idaho State Police say at least two of the victims were alert when they were taken away.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and the scene is now clear.
