SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Temple Square in Salt Lake City is visited by 5 million people a year. It has a terrific view of the Salt Lake Temple. Fountains and statues adorn the square. Salt Lake is the State Capitol of Utah. The Capitol building most resembles our nation's Capitol.
It was completed in 1916 and remodeled in the mid-2000's. Interesting fact, Salt Lake City sits on an earthquake fault line. When the Capitol building was remodeled, they installed a base-isolation system that is designed to protect the structure in the event of a quake.
