SWAT UPDATE: Eighth Suspect Identified In Take-Over Style Robberies

SPOKANE, Wash. - The SWAT team was called to the Rosewood Club Apartments in the 400 Block of E. Magnesium near Division Friday afternoon in an attempt to arrest an eighth suspect in recent armed robberies.

Police were attempting to arrest an eighth suspect in the take-over style robberies that have plagued Spokane in the past few weeks. Police identified that suspect as Avery Loring, 24. Due to the fact that the suspect is wanted in connection to armed robberies, police called in the SWAT team to execute the arrest warrant. Upon entering the apartment, police found Loring was not home.

On Thursday and early Friday police arrested Derek Wilson, 25; Christopher Comer, 24; Michael Brown, 23; Dwayne Tolbert, 21; Alexsis Schell, 18; as well as 16-year-old Brettley Sanderson and his 15-year-old girlfriend Jazzmine Lindsey, all in connection to take-over style robberies in the Spokane area. They all face first-degree robbery charges. According to station policy, KHQ typically doesn't name minors however there is an exception in this case because the teens face felony charges.
